    Overcomer of the month

What’s the worst thing you have had to overcome?

One of the things I have had to overcome is rejection and feelings of emptiness I was always looking for love and it was the kind of love one won’t find on earth or through people or things. It was bad for me. I didn’t like my life. I was always searching for “this love” and I couldn’t find it anywhere. It made me really sad, it didn’t make me a nice person.

    How did you overcome that?

I overcame that by experiencing the Father’s love, God’s love. After I had my first born son, I got closer and closer to God, experiencing a relationship with God. That changed, just having that intimate relationship with God, starting to know Him and how He filled me with His love, because His love is pure and true and genuine. I can’t even explain it, His love is just so huge! It’s bigger than anything else, its better than any person’s love. It just fills you, it filled me, I didn’t have that empty feeling anymore, even though things happened and I was sad, I was still full. So what I was going through at that time was okay, it wasn’t that emptiness I was constantly feeling anymore. I was now full!

What is your message to those going through it right now?

You have to have a relationship with God. You can’t find that love in your own earthly dad, your husband, or boyfriends, if you are a male, you won’t find it in your wife, mother or girlfriend. It’s just from God. God’s love is unconditional. It never dissapoints, it is always the same. Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and that’s what makes it so genuine and true, because it doesn’t change. Even if we slip up or make mistakes or sin, God still loves us. We must just turn to Him and try to be a better person every day, and every day grow closer to God and help other people going through the same and show them God’s love so that they can also experience it. There is nothing on earth that can fill you like God’s love, nothing. So, don’t even try going off the rails, it doesn’t work. Stay on the narrow road, the narrow path, God’s path and you will be filled and always have that filled love feeling inside of you. I’m not saying you will always be happy, but you will be joyful.
